Our story
A multi-generational dance family.
Founded in 2010 by Lee Ann Strain-Whittington, CK Dance Studio carries forward a teaching tradition that began with her mother, Jeannie Strain, and the legendary Calico Kids. Two generations. One commitment: to make every dancer who walks through our doors feel seen, challenged, and at home.
Today, our 19-strong faculty includes Krassovska Award-winning ballet directors, Broadway and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader alumni, and master teachers who travel the country to train the next generation of artists.
